Will and his team did just as he said they would for our yard—made a BIG difference. I always enjoyed trying to get our our yard “showroom ready” but never could get over the final hump to finish out some of the weaker areas of our bermuda grass. I threw a lot of time and money into it for years but just couldn’t get it done. I contacted Will at the referral of a friend. He came out and assured me they could get it done but I was skeptical since I had tried nearly every product on the market. Now we are one growing season in and Will has already pushed growth into areas I couldn’t in 4 years! I normally don't post reviews for companies that perform the work they are paid to perform. We have had 3 different major lawn care companies over 8 years service our lawn. In every case the service was awful and the companies had no pride or ownership in their work. Every visit would be a different technician because they fired the last one or they quit. We searched for a smaller independent and locally owned company that would take pride in their work and appreciate us as customers. That's exactly what Will and Hippo Lawn Care has provided. Our yard has never looked this great, no missed treatment areas, weeds are controlled and the lawn is thick and healthy. No chemicals or fertilizers in our pool. Will (owner and operator) of hippo turf care is incredibly knowledgeable, fair, communicative, and an all round pleasure to work with. We have experience with the larger (national type) companies and honestly had no idea when they were coming out, what they were doing with our lawn and the pricing was ambiguous at best. With Hippo turf care you know the what, the when and if you ask will he’ll tell you the why and the how too. A good wholesome family run, local business that in this day and age is so very rare. I have been amazed by the transformation of my backyard done by Will and Hippo Turf Care. It started out as a mud pit and is now a usable backyard space that my family can actually enjoy! They do a great job, they show up when they say they will, billing is easy, communication is great, and we love supporting a small business. I recently bought a house in the area and was planning on having friends/family over to show them the new place. I needed some help with my yard and did not have a lot of time. I have been using Hippo Turf Care now for 3 months and the improvement is definitely visible . I have used 3 other lawn providers and moved to doing it myself in that I was not getting the proper results. When I noticed a few other properties in my neighborhood with beautiful lawns. I found that they were using Hippo. I then signed up and have been nothing but very satisfied. The owner is polite, on time and takes the effort to assure you see results. I have had two other yard services and Hippo turf is the only one that has delivered as promised. My yard looks amazing. Will is very knowledgeable. He is honest. We started our yard from scratch after a pipe issue and Will told us what to do. I have beautiful green grass growing in a matter of months. We started my service in the middle of the program so I wasn’t expecting to see much improvement for a while. My yard is full of weeds and very little grass to work with but after one treatment (summer fertilizer) my yard has already improved beyond belief.
