Will and his team did just as he said they would for our yard—made a BIG difference. I always enjoyed trying to get our our yard “showroom ready” but never could get over the final hump to finish out some of the weaker areas of our bermuda grass. I threw a lot of time and money into it for years but just couldn’t get it done. I contacted Will at the referral of a friend. He came out and assured me they could get it done but I was skeptical since I had tried nearly every product on the market. Now we are one growing season in and Will has already pushed growth into areas I couldn’t in 4 years! Hired Hippo to service our lawn. Jonathan, our service technician, paid special attention to details. They applied granular fertilizer. Jonathan then used a blower on our driveway and around our pool to blow all remaining fertilizer back on to the lawn. He scheduled another service call to spray weeds in our yard at no additional cost.. We are very happy with the service provided thus far. We have seen some improvements in our lawn. We also understand that getting your lawn to a healthy state takes time. Communication throughout are service has been prompt and professional. We highly recommend Hippo for your lawn needs. I normally don't post reviews for companies that perform the work they are paid to perform. We have had 3 different major lawn care companies over 8 years service our lawn. In every case the service was awful and the companies had no pride or ownership in their work. Every visit would be a different technician because they fired the last one or they quit. We searched for a smaller independent and locally owned company that would take pride in their work and appreciate us as customers. That's exactly what Will and Hippo Lawn Care has provided. Our yard has never looked this great, no missed treatment areas, weeds are controlled and the lawn is thick and healthy. No chemicals or fertilizers in our pool. Highly recommend Hippo Turf Care. I have just recently started with Hippo. I must say that I am so Happy so far. James Bagget arrived and introduced himself and answered all my Questions and explained the process. He is definitely an asset to your company. I have tried 2 other Companies and we'll here I am. They just didn't meet my expectations. I had True Green for 10 months and thought well this is a Big Company and should be Great. I was definitely disappointed after 4 phone calls I gave up. I recently joined the Hippo Family for weed control services. I spoke with Jeby and have to tell you it was a pleasure speaking with her. She answered all my questions and more, never felt rushed, she went through their programs in detail ensuring I was satisfied. I especially appreciated her willingness to have me speak to the owner if I had other questions which shows they care about their services. She also made it clear if at anytime I'm not happy with my lawn to reach out and the owner will take a look at the lawn to determine what can be done or they will send out a technician to resolve it. Upon the recommendation of a neighbor I have been using Hippo for almost a year now. My lawn is doing so much better than it was when I tried to "handle" things on my own. It's never looked this good in August! Their prices are very reasonable and every person I've ever encountered with Hippo has been great. Will (owner and operator) of hippo turf care is incredibly knowledgeable, fair, communicative, and an all round pleasure to work with. We have experience with the larger (national type) companies and honestly had no idea when they were coming out, what they were doing with our lawn and the pricing was ambiguous at best. With Hippo turf care you know the what, the when and if you ask will he’ll tell you the why and the how too. A good wholesome family run, local business that in this day and age is so very rare. Recently switched to Hippo Lawn Care and super happy we did. They do a great job, they show up when they say they will, billing is easy, communication is great, and we love supporting a small business. Also, recently a neighbor told us about army worms in their yard. We reached out to the owner of Hippo for treatment just in case. Not only did he respond within a few hours, on a Saturday, but we were super happy to be reminded he already includes that treatment in our service. We had just had that treatment a few weeks prior! I recently bought a house in the area and was planning on having friends/family over to show them the new place. I needed some help with my yard and did not have a lot of time. I have been using Hippo Turf Care now for 3 months and the improvement is definitely visible . I have used 3 other lawn providers and moved to doing it myself in that I was not getting the proper results. When I noticed a few other properties in my neighborhood with beautiful lawns. I have had two other yard services and Hippo turf is the only one that has delivered as promised. My yard looks amazing. Will is very knowledgeable. He is honest. We started our yard from scratch after a pipe issue and Will told us what to do. I have beautiful green grass growing in a matter of months.
